VdTÜV statement on media reports from the newspapers BILD and Jerusalem Post “German government agency involved in violation of Iran sanctions”:

The allegations are serious. If they proved to be true, we unreservedly condemn these activities. The TÜV organisations that are represented by the association VdTÜV, account for integrity and impose high standards for their work.

Embargo directives have to be adhered to. An eventual violation cannot be accepted. The CEO of TÜV InterCert GmbH - Group of TÜV Saarland owns 74.9 per cent of the company, 25.1 per cent of the shares are held by TÜV Saarland e.V..

We require full disclosure on this matter and demand all parties involved, including DakkS and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as supervisory authority, to investigate the media allegations. The confidence in the trade mark TÜV cannot be undermined.
